Product Description

Even if you haven’t been to Paris, you’ve seen Paris. The city has been photographed, filmed, painted and written about for so long, but despite its recognizable face, it’s easy to feel like an outsider when you’re there. Why?  Because Paris has two versions – one for tourists, and the second kept tucked away for Parisiennes. It’s easy for the fanfare of the City of Lights to lure visitors into tourist traps (especially after a glass of wine or two), and Parisians are often misunderstood as being cold and aloof, keeping local life detached.

But the truth is, Paris has many faces . Our tour’s aim is for travelers to lose all preconceived notions and experience the myriad of identities and subtleties within this remarkable city. Join us as we shed new light on The City of Lights!

Note: Circle Paris does not overlap nor include the usual tourist sites, such as famous neighborhoods (e.g. Champs-Elysées, Louvre, Champ de Mars), historical landmarks or museums.

We had Alex as our tour guide in Paris and it was AMAZING!!!! He showed everything we could ever want, we ate amazing authentic French food, and we laughed with him the whole time!!! What a wonderful experience.

Our full day walking food tour was amazing! Marion was a fantastic guide. She is passionate about her city and was eager for our group to experience it. She showed us back alley cool places, had many yummy munchies along the way, taught us about the architecture & historical facts and took us to places tourists never see. Our lunch stop was a delicious meal at local restaurant (we would have had a picnic but weather wasn’t cooperating). Marion taught us how to use the Metro and bus systems, too. Would highly recomend this tour and doing it day 1 or 2 of your visit. It gave us a great framework for areas we wanted to visit later in the week. Thank you, Marion!!!!

After a full day with Bertrand we know more history of Paris than we do of the area that we live in! Get off the beaten path and see what else there is in Paris… little parks, back roads, small villages within the city, little court yards etc. Bertrand will give you one of the best walking tours ever! You will also learn how to ride the bus and the metro and get comfortable finding your way around. Well worth it!

This tour was the best way to spend a day getting to know Paris! We had an amazing time and would highly recommend it if you want to see the real Paris! Bertrand was so great and we loved every minute of it!

Must Do Tour. Bertrand is the best tour guide we have ever had. We are so more informed of the history and the formation of Paris. It was a day of so many sensory experiences. Macaroons, cheeses, baguettes, coffee and so much more. We can now master the Metro and have other places in Paris to explore

A must do, I highly recommend this tour. Bertrand was our guide and he catered the tour to our interests. It was the best way to see Paris, away from all the tourist attractions. Bertrand not only showed us another side to Paris but gave us the confidence to use to metro and bus systems.
It didn’t feel like we with a guide but having a day out with a mate, we laughed, ate and shared a drink.
The only thing I would strongly recommend is to do this tour at the start of your holiday, sadly we took it towards the end of ours, but that’s fine we now have to return to Paris to do all the things Bertrand recommended.

Our guide was Marion and she was great! We really enjoyed the tour and how it was catered to our interests. We felt like we were hanging out with a Parisian friend who was showing us around town. We highly recommend this tour.

We had a great day with Audrey. She was very pleasant and easy going person (so different from other guided tours). We get to know a lot of the city, hide away places, and excellent food experiences. After you paid the tour, she arranged and paid everyting: bus and metro tickets, nice coffee stops, great Parisian lunch on a terrace in the sun, the best and high end chocolate shop, excellent champagne. Normally the tours want to earn as much money they can, but with Audrey you feel like a friend, who wants that you get to know the real Parisian lifestyle! And yes do start your visit with this tour and you will have a more valuable stay afterwards, because you know where to go!!!

Best travel experience! Bertrand took us throughout the city talking about and walking through neighborhoods. Filled with everyday experiences and wonderful anecdotes and stories which enabled us to see a Paris beyond the tourist must sees. We walked, took the bus and the Metro during our day. Bertrand made it easy and built out confidence so that throughout the rest of our trip we roamed the city without any difficulties. I recommend this day tour without reservation. Fantastic!

My wife and I went to Paris on our honeymoon earlier this month, and we were pleasantly surprised with this tour. We planned the tour for the day after arrival and it worked out great. Our guide Audrey, was friendly and energetic. Audrey was extremely knowledgeable about Paris, and French history. She did a great job between entertaining my wife and I, and a family of five with two young children (around 9 and 10).

We felt that by the end of the day we got a great feel for the city, and Audrey pretty much planned out the rest of our trip for us. She gave us great recommendations, and pointed us in the direction of Vaux le Vicomte which was one of our highlights from our trip.

I highly recommend doing this tour, and trying to do it early during your stay so you can explore some of the places you’ll hear of.

A long day, but with guide Justine it was very pleasant to see the neighborhoods of Paris. We had lot’s of treats, coffee along the way but eating our picnic lunch on the ground was not very comfortable or enjoyable. Justine had lovely personality& good knowledge of Paris.

We had a fabulous day with our guides Bertrand & Thomas & our friends Gaylene & John. Myself & Tony were late in joining the tour due to transport issues, but Bertrand happily organised for us to join the group at another venue so that we didn’t miss out. Bertrand & Thomas had a wealth of local knowledge, passion for Paris & a sense of humour. It was great to get off the tourist beat & wander around local neighbour hoods & get a feel of life as a Parisian. Bertrand & Thomas were very engaging & pleasant. We would certainly recommend this tour 🙂

Thank you Bertrand and Tomas for a truly fantastic day yesterday – it was lovely to share it with our friends Liz & Tony also from Australia. We ate and drank our way around areas we would never have ventured to . Highlights – behind the scenes at Bertrand’s favourite bakery, picnicking on our market purchases – best baguettes we have ever had !! ; tasting petit jejune for first time. Recommend this for anybody wanting get off the beaten track…. But you need to have a bit of stamina !!

We had a fantastic day with Justine from Circle Paris. Despite some torrential rain, my wife, teenage daughter, and I had a really enjoyable time exploring Paris. If you want to see the Arc, the Tower, the Louvre, and the Tuileries, this is the wrong tour. But if you want a chance to see the basement of a boulanger and get in the way of the baker making the afternoon baguettes and watch the patissier up close, this is it. It’s a really great way to nibble and window shop your way across Paris. Starting at Palais Garnier, we made introductions and discussed the day over coffee and went up to the roof terrace of Galerie Lafayette for a panoramic city view. No time for shopping but we made a quick stop at the Herme counter for some macaroons. Then we crossed town for the bakery and a stop at a fromagerie for some ripe, stinky cheese. Lunch was in charcuterie at a picturesque cave a manger. Afterwards the rain slowed as we walked through Canal St. Martin and we dried off in one of the new craft coffee shops. We ended the day up at the Bassin de la Villette to taste the cheese we picked earlier.

There is no better way to get to know an unfamiliar place than this tour. After seeing many of the main tourist spots, our day with Bertrand gave us a better feel for the real Paris, off the beaten track but still focused on interesting places and enjoyable activities. Although we ended up on tour with a family that included two young children, Bertrand somehow managed to make it educational and entertaining for everyone. By the end of the day, my husband and I felt like we were hanging out with a charming friend. We even got to play bocce ball by a lovely canal which I never could have imagined doing. Great value on every level!

It has been a month since my wife and I returned to Salt Lake City after spending an amazing day touring the city of Paris with Bertrand. A fantastic couple from Perth, Australia were also on our tour.

Frankly, not a day has passed since our return without our vividly recalling and discussing with joy the pleasures we experienced in Paris the day of our Circle Adventure tour. We have told the world of this amazing tour.

A decade prior to this visit we had spent a whirlwind two days in Paris which left us shell-shocked and reluctant to consider returning. Bertrand quickly erased those old memories with his warm smile and authentic personality and a multitude of Parisian delights beginning with fresh baked pastries, steaming savory coffee, and a lively morning discussion of Parisian politics and pressing issues of the day. The touring pace that followed allowed plenty of time for laughter, thoughtful observations of local customs and engaging conversation. Our lunch picnic of wondrous regional cheeses, fresh bread and delicious wines taken on an elevated garden walk way was a highlight.

Bertrand truly opened a secret garden door to several lovely and lively districts of Paris, giving us a warm appreciation of the people, neighborhoods, street art, local markets. We have decided it would be best if we returned to Paris every year. Thank you Bertrand. Gary and Diana from Salt Lake City,Utah, USA

My friend and I did a day tour with Bertrand. It was great! I have been to Paris four times and on this tour, I saw things I had never seen before. He is very knowledgeable about Paris and entertaining as a guide. There were three other couples on this tour and when we ended the day with a simple dinner at a very non-touristy restaurant, it felt like we were family. I highly recommend this tour.

My daughter and I spent 10 delightful hours with Bertrand on a sunny/rainy/breezy/perfect day in Paris. It was May Day and I was afraid we’d find little to do and many places closed. Bertrand charmed us, fed us, wine-and-cheesed us and at the end, we parted as family.

This tour is customized to your individual interests and wishes. We wished to see unique neighborhoods and the personal-side of Paris. We saw and did, ate and drank it ALL! We relished the croissant making, the market shopping, the rainy gazebo dining, the streetside pastry eating, the street art, the hilltop café and even the terrible stairs — but the truth is that it was Bertrand’s personable, charming and easy-going demeanor that made this an unforgettable day. What a good decision to take this “tour.”

During this one day tour our guide showed us some very surprising and unexpected places in Paris! Although I’ve lived close to Paris for three years I discovered some beautiful, unknown neighborhoods where tourists normally don’t go. It really gives you an idea of the real Parisian life away from the crowds. We had a very, very nice day…. Special thanks to our guide Betrand who honestly enjoyed showing us around and who shared his favorite places with us (including an excellent restaurant and food market).

It is amazing a little city of Paris can have such a beautiful natural side. Freshly baked bread, tasty specialty cheese from the fresh market, beautiful untainted parks with blooming flowers, every corner & every turn is a pleasant surprise. Betrand is a wonderful guide. Growing up in the heart of Paris, he is able to bring us to little passages unnoticed by most. Always having a secret & story to tell, it brings us immense entertainment throughout the guide. It is something one can never have learnt without a guide like this. Just wear a pair of good walking shoes and you will never regret it!
